More information about the bowhunter courses

The DBJV and its volunteer instructors run between 5 and 10 training courses a year throughout Germany. The DBJV has been training according to the guidelines of the International Bowhunting Education Program (IBEP) since its foundation and is the only institution/organization in Germany that has been commissioned by the NBEF or EBF to carry out the tasks of administering the IBEP (training of instructors, examination of students, .....) in Germany. The course lasts 2 days. On the first day, all topics according to IBEP are covered. At the end of the course, the participants have to take a written exam. The shooting test takes place on the second day. They shoot at a wild boar target and a roe deer target. The participant must shoot 6 times with hunting arrows. 5 out of 6 arrows must be in the immediate lethal range. The distances are between 10 and 25 meters.
