European Bowhunting Federation Marks Major Step in Legalizing Bowhunting in Morocco
The Kingdom of Morocco has made a significant advance in the process of legalizing
bowhunting. This progress is marked by the recent agreement signed with the Association
Chasse et Pêche Touristique au Maroc (AOCPT) and the Moroccan National Water and
Forestry Agency (ANEF), thanks to the diligent efforts of the European Bowhunting Federation

Denmark Leads Ethical Hunting Practices with Bowhunting Legalization for Large Deer Species
The European Bowhunting Federation (EBF) announces a groundbreaking development in
Denmark’s hunting regulations. Effective January 1, 2024, bowhunting for large deer species,
such as red, fallow, and sika deer, will be legalized. This decision aligns with Denmark's
commitment to ethical and sustainable wildlife management.
Hungary Updates Hunting Laws: Bowhunting Now Open to Youth Aged 16+
The Hungarian government has announced substantial amendments to its hunting regulations, ushering in a new age for bowhunting and creating engaging opportunities for the youth. Effective since June 13, these changes underscore a commitment to nurturing traditional practices alongside encouraging technological advancements in hunting activities.
Bowhunting presentation at FACE GA
EBF President Anders Gejer held a 10 minute speech on present developments in European Bowhunting matters on the FACE General Assembly 2021 last Friday in Budapest. The estimated increase in hunters using bow and arrow in Europe over the past 15 years is fivefold and a total of 50.000 active hunters is probably a low estimate.
